CCHD says local vaccination rate lower than state average

COVID-19 cases have been on the rise in Christian County and the local health department is urging those who haven’t been vaccinated to get the shot soon.

Amanda Sweeney-Brunt with the Christian County Health Department appeared on WHOP Wednesday and says don’t become complacent in the social distancing and masking measures as the temperature warms and more people get together.

She says Christian County’s vaccination rate is lower than it should be and she hopes those who have been vaccinated will encourage their family and friends to do so.

Anyone 18 or older can log onto the Christian County Health Department website to make a Moderna vaccine appointment and anyone 16 and older can schedule an appointment for the Pfizer vaccine on the Walgreens website.
