Ryan Johansen scored the only goal in the shootout in the Nashville Predators’ 3-2 win over the Dallad Stars in Nashville. Juuse Saros registered 24 saves in the win. Ryan Ellis and Yakov Trenin lit the lamp in regulation for the Preds, who host the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow night.
Meanwhile, Predators forward Michael McCarron has been suspended two games for an illegal check of Tampa Bay’s Yannie Gourde. The hit happened in Nashville’s 3-0 loss to the Lightning on Saturday night, where McCarron was thrown out. He hit Gourde in the head with his shoulder with 26 seconds remaining in the game. McCarron will also forfeit roughly 12-thousand-dollars as part of the suspension.
