A Calhoun man who was involved in a fatal crash that killed three people in McLean County, including a local man, was charged with three counts of murder in relation to the incident.
According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, 24-year old Dylan Howard of Calhoun is facing three counts of murder, first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal child abuse, DUI, trafficking in a controlled substance and numerous traffic violations. He is lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
As previously reported, investigation into the multi-vehicle collision that occurred in March on KY 81 about four miles north of Calhoun determined that the vehicle driven by Howard was the one heading northbound when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.
The vehicle sideswiped a dump truck driven by 53-year old Brian Korb of Dawson Springs before going fully into the opposing lane and striking another vehicle driven by 35-year old Joshua Fox.
Fox was pronounced dead at the scene, as were two of Howard’s passengers—23-year old Shawna Rodney and three-year old Emberlyn Howard, both of Calhoun.
Dylan Howard and another juvenile passenger have both been released from the hospital.
