Hopkinsville Mayor Wendell Lynch says he and department heads are beginning the process of crafting a budget proposal for the upcoming fiscal year.
Appearing Wednesday morning on WHOP, the mayor said he intends to give his budget address in early May.
Lynch says he intends for the proposed spending plan to be fiscally conservative in nature.
He also notes that the Municipal Center remains open for business, with healthy at work measures in place to keep staff and the public safe.
The mayor also used his appearance on WHOP to encourage citizens to support local businesses who have been significantly impacted by the pandemic.
