Two Logan County women among three killed in I-65 crash

Two Logan County women and a Georgia man were killed Monday night in a crash on Interstate 65 in Warren County.

Kentucky State Police investigated and determined 36-year old Donald Kabwenge of Georgia was southbound near the 26 mile-marker a few minutes before 9:30 p.m. and failed to see traffic slowing in front of him at a construction zone.

He struck the rear of a car driven by 22-year old Alyssa Aldrete of Auburn, pushing it into the rear of a tractor-trailer.

Kabwenge, Aldrete and her passenger, 21-year old Alexis Coker of Auburn, were all pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt.
