A Sharon Grove man sought on a felony warrant is facing new charges following a traffic stop Tuesday morning.
Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Turner attempted to stop 41-year old Jason Mock on Sharon Grove Road a few minutes after 8 a.m. for driving 76 mph in a 55 zone on KY 181 and an arrest citation says Mock reached speeds of at least 100 mph after turning onto Sharon Grove Road.
He pulled into a driveway near Claymour and parked behind a shed, but Sgt. Turner saw him and conducted a traffic stop.
A computer check showed Mock had a suspended license and was sought on a Todd County warrant for trafficking in a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.
A search of his car allegedly revealed methamphetamine and police say Mock refused a blood test.
Mock was additionally charged with DUI, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, speeding and driving without proof of insurance.
