The Memphis Grizzlies took control with a 45-point third quarter to beat the Sixers 116-100 in Philadelphia. Ja Morant has eight points, 10 assists and five rebounds in the win. Memphis is back in action tomorrow night at Miami.

NHL

The Nashville Predators will try to continue their hot streak tomorrow night when they play the first of two against the Detroit Red Wings in Motown. Nashville shut out Chicago Saturday for its seventh victory in eight games.

Golf

Jordan Spieth is back in the win column after nearly a four-year drought. He fired a six-under 66 in the final round to hold off Charley Hoffman and win the PGA Tour’s Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio. Spieth finished the four days at 18-under, two better than Hoffman, who also closed at six-under. Matt Wallace was third at minus-14. Spieth takes momentum into The Masters, which tees off Thursday in Augusta, GA.

Patty Tavatanakit led wire to wire in winning the LPGA Tour’s ANA Inspiration in Rancho Mirage, CA Sunday. Tavatanakit finished at 18 under par, two strokes better than Lydia Ko, who made a charge Sunday by firing a 62.
