The men’s college basketball season comes to a close tonight. Top-seeded Gonzaga puts its 31-and-0 record on the line against fellow top seed Baylor in the NCAA Tournament title game in Indianapolis. Gonzaga is trying to become the first undefeated team since Indiana in 1976 to win the national title while Baylor is playing in the final game for the first time since 1950.
Stanford won its first women’s national championship since defeating Western Kentucky in 1992 last night in San Antonio, downing Arizona 54-53. It’s the third national title for Stanford.
The search for North Carolina’s next basketball head coach is on. The university reportedly interviewed several candidates over the weekend, all within the UNC family.
While some fans are hoping assistant Hubert Davis is considered, the former Tar Heel has never been a head coach and athletic director Bubba Cunningham is reportedly looking for a coach with more experience.
