The Todd County School System has reversed course and will hold an in-person, mostly traditional graduation ceremony.
Todd County Central High School will host commencement Monday, May 17 at 5 p.m. at the football stadium next to the school and each graduate will receive eight tickets for family and friends.
The Horizons Academy will hold a graduation on eth same day at 4 p.m. in the school’s auditorium and those graduates will also receive eight tickets each.
Final plans for preschool promotion, fifth grade promotion, and eighth grade promotion ceremonies are expected to be announced soon.
The district had announced plans for recorded and drive-through commencements Wednesday, but those plans were met with vocal opposition in the community.
