University Heights saw its season end in the Boys Sweet 16 falling to Bowling Green of the 4th Region 85- 57 at Lexington’s Rupp Arena. KJ Crump had 20 points to lead the Blazers with Will Bryan adding 16. Bowling Green was led by Tanner Buttry with 20 points, Isaiah Mason added 16 with Jacobi Huddleston adding 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Blazers conclude the season 15-10 while Bowling Green improves to 24-2 and will meet the Madison Central-Ballard winner in quarterfinal action Friday at 1 pm.
In other first round action, Elizabethtown routed Knott County Central 89-57 and will meet the George Rogers Clark-Oldham County winner in quarterfinal play at 10 am Friday.
