One person was killed in a fire that destroyed a home Tuesday morning near Cerulean in Trigg County.
Cerulean firefighters responded to a home in the 2100 block of Cerulean-Hopkinsville Road about 6:45 and found the home heavily involved in flames.
The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and Sheriff Aaron Acree confirmed Tuesday afternoon that one person had died in the blaze, who has been identified by Trigg County Coroner John Mark Vinson as 78 year old Carolyn Sue Armstrong.
The fire appears to be accidental in nature and foul play is not suspected.
