Ky. gains 751 COVID-19 cases, 13 deaths

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 751 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, along with a positivity rate of 2.9 percent.

He also reported 13 new deaths and 10 discovered deaths from the recent audit of the reporting system, bringing the death toll in the Commonwealth up to 6,065.  Governor Andy Beshear says, “We are on a positive trajectory – we are leading all of our seven border states in administering at least one dose of the vaccine and our positivity rate continues to decline – but we need to keep working hard and not give up.”

He also reminds that there are COVID-19 vaccinations available across the state and urged people to find an appointment near them.

There are currently 378 Kentuckians in the hospital with coronavirus, 91 in the ICU and 37 on a ventilator.

The Tennessee Department of Health reported 837 new cases of COVID-19, along with 28 new deaths, putting the death toll in the Volunteer State at 11,894.
