Murray State men’s golf coach Eddie Hunt-only the second in program history-announced his retirement at the end of the season on Friday. Hunt came to Murray State as a student in the 1960’s and has been the school’s head golf coach since 2001. The Racers have produced 11 Ohio Valley Conference Golfers of the Year including Brandon Henson (2001), Nick Newcomb (2010), Cameron Carrico (2011) and Patrick Newcomb (2012, 2013) during Hunt’s tenure.
