Hopkinsville led by as many as 10 and Madisonville’s big lead was three, but when the dust settled, it was the Maroons who came away with the overtime win last night 66-65. Kale Gaither’s put back with one second left in the extra period proved to be the game winner. Gaither led all scorers with 39 points-26 of those coming in the second half and overtime-as Madisonville moves to Saturday night’s final to face University Heights with a record of 16-4.
Alijah Watts had 23 points to lead Hopkinsville with Arthur McKnight adding 15 and JaMarcus Burks with 11 as the Tigers finish the season 7-5.
