Todd Fiscal Court applying for grant funds to renovate senior center

Todd Fiscal Court approved a resolution Friday morning to apply for grant funding for renovations to the Todd County Senior Center.

Pennyrile Area Development District Associate Director Amy Frogue says the application is for up to $750,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds and a contract was also approved by magistrates for JKS Architects to evaluate the building and design the specifics of the renovation.

She says the architect will look over a list of wants and needs and make determinations on what can be accomplished within the proposed budget.

Fiscal Court approved a request from Jailer Jeff Penick to increase the cost for making copies of documents from a nickel to 15 cents per page and tabled a request to charge county inmates a $30 per day per diem for the time they are incarcerated.
