Kentucky reported 695 new COVID cases Wednesday

There were 695 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Wednesday in Kentucky and the positivity rate dropped to 2.85 percent.

Governor Andy Beshear also announced 438 Kentuckians are hospitalized with the virus, 103 are in the ICU and 87 are on a ventilator.

Twenty-four new deaths were associated with COVID-19 and 25 were identified in an ongoing audit of backlogged data from counties across the state.

The governor reiterated that by April 12, all Kentuckians 16 and older will be able to get a vaccination if they want one.
