Hopkinsville police arrested a man for felony assault Wednesday after he allegedly pistol-whipped his girlfriend during a dispute.
The victim told officers that 25-year old Coty Hill of Hopkinsville pistol-whipped her on the left arm during an argument and that he used his fist to punch her on the side of the head.
An arrest citation says the victim had swelling and a bruise on her arm and a bruise on her head.
EMS transported the victim to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
Hill was charged with second-degree assault (domestic violence).
