Referee Tim Peel will no longer work games following an announcement by the NHL today. Peel was wearing a microphone for the telecast of last night’s Nashville-Detroit game and was heard saying he wanted to call a penalty on the Predators. In its statement, the NHL said in part nothing was more important than the integrity of the game and Peel’s conduct was in direct contradiction.
