Investigation of an attempted vehicle burglary by Guthrie police Tuesday led to the arrest of a man on drug trafficking charges.
Chief Dean Blumel received a report of an attempted break-in of a vehicle on Dixie Street and 31-year old Tramond Pearson of Guthrie was identified as a suspect.
He located Pearson later in the evening and an arrest citation says there was an odor of marijuana coming from his person.
Police say Pearson fled on foot, was briefly detained, and a taser was utilized by Sgt. Kevin Saunders when Pearson tried to flee again.
A search was conducted of his person and Pearson was charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, resisting arrest and fleeing or evading police.
