Two more underdogs are moving on at the NCAA Tournament. Seventh-seeded Oregon crushed second-seeded Iowa 95-80 in second round action in Indianapolis. The Ducks are headed to the Sweet 16 for the fourth time in the last five tournaments.
The Pac-12 will be well-represented this weekend after sixth-seeded USC also pulled off the upset with an 85-51 rout of third-seeded Kansas. Number-11 seed UCLA blasted 14th-seeded Abilene Christian 67-47. The Pac-12 will have a total of four teams in the final 16 after Oregon State previously advanced on Sunday.
Top-seeded Gonzaga also punched its ticket to the next round with an 87-71 victory over Oklahoma. Fellow number-one seed Michigan remains alive after beating LSU 86-78. The Sweet 16 will take place on Saturday and Sunday followed by the Elite Eight next Monday and Tuesday.
