The Lyons had a chance to win the game late, but Hopkinsville’s Reece Jesse blocked Travis Perry’s three point attempt at the buzzer.Alijah Watts led the Tigers with 18 points, Reece Jesse followed with 15 and JaMarcus Burks added 13 as Hopkinsville improved to 7-4. Travis Perry had 20 points to lead Lyon County with Jackson Shoulders adding 13 as the Lyons conclude the season 22-4.
Hopkinsville will face Madisonville in Thursday night’s semifinal game after the Maroons defeated Webster County 49-44. Tipoff is at 6:30.
