Virginia Commonwealth had “multiple positive tests” in the 48 hours prior to the cancelation of their first-round NCAA Tournament game against Oregon. That’s according to a statement put out by the Rams’ head coach Mike Rhoades. He said, “We are devastated for our players and coaches, it has been a dream for all of us to play in the NCAA Tournament.” Oregon advances to the Round of 32 after the game was ruled a no-contest earlier today.
