State penitentiary COVID outbreak worsens

The coronavirus outbreak at the Kentucky State Penitentiary continues to worsen, while Trigg County noted only three new cases Wednesday.

There were 53 confirmed new cases at the state penitentiary Wednesday, according to the Pennyrile District Health Department, with over 600 inmates at that facility now infected.

Trigg County’s new cases are adults between the ages of 36 and 47—all isolating at home.
