Lovelace resigns as Christian County football coach

Following 14 seasons, Christian County head coach Steve Lovelace announced his resignation today:

Lovelace led Christian County to two Class 5-A state final appearances in 2008 and in 2010. He had a record of 100 wins and 67 losses during his tenure at Christian County. He also worked as an assistant to Craig Clayton at Hopkinsville before coming to the Colonel program. He adds he will have a lot of great memories:

Lovelace-who had also been serving as the school’s athletic director until recently-is now working on the staff at Freedom Elementary for the remainder of the school year.
