COVID-19 case numbers remain low in the Christian County Public School System, as they look forward to a school year without the pandemic making things complicated.
After a couple days with no new reported cases, there remains six active in-person student cases, one in the Virtual Learning Academy and zero active staff cases. Superintendent Chris Bentzel says they’re hopeful to keep that trend going, and more Virtual Learning Academy students are starting to return to in-person learning.
Prom will be taking place in-person in April, with hopes of in-person graduations in May, and Bentzel says health guidelines will be followed closely.
Applications are now also being accepted for students who want to participate in the summer learning institute, with Bentzel saying that will be a more comprehensive program than your typical summer school.
