The Western Kentucky State Fair is coming back in 2021 at the end of June, with a full slate of events and entertainment set to take place.
According to a news release, the fair will open on June 25 and will go through July 3, and all the usual favorites, from carnival rides to shows to food will make a return after a year off due to COVID-19. Social distancing guidelines will be strictly followed at all events with possibly more outside events than convention center events taking place.
The traditional beauty pageants, wrestling, corn hole, antique tractor pulls, Demolition Derby, and the always popular Friday and Saturday night tractor pulls will be back. A new attraction will be Monster Trucks set to take place June 28.
The Western Kentucky State Fair began in 1951, so this year marks the 70th anniversary of the family event.
