Chamber President and CEO announces resignation

Kelli Pendleton, who has served as the President and CEO of the Christian County Chamber of Commerce for many years, has announced her resignation from the Chamber.

According to a news release, Pendleton’s resignation is effective March 26, and she is stepping down to accept a new role as the Executive Director of the Campbell Strong Defense Alliance. Pendleton has been behind several pieces of legislation that intended to boost the community, including the designation of the Pennyrile Parkway as I-169, broadband expansion, tourism efforts and more.

The Campbell Strong Defense Alliance is made up of communities from the six county region surrounding Fort Campbell including Christian, Todd, and Trigg counties in Kentucky along with Montgomery, Stewart, and Robertson counties in Tennessee. The group works together to increase economic growth in the area.

Pendleton says, “I am blessed to have been afforded the opportunity to lead our chamber and am proud of the work we accomplished as a team with my staff and Board of Directors.”

The Chamber’s Executive Committee is set to meet this week to discuss the steps in finding Pendelton’s replacement.
