CCSO arrests two Madisonville residents for drug trafficking

A traffic stop Sunday afternoon on the Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County led to the arrests of two Madisonville residents for drug trafficking charges.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Charles Fiscella stopped a vehicle driven by 33-year old Joseph Singleton for swerving and a news release says a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the automobile.

A search allegedly revealed a gun reported stolen in Hopkins County, over 100 Oxycodone pills, approximately a pound of marijuana, a digital scale and cash.

Singleton and his passenger, 28-year old Karlie Stewart, were both arrested for trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, receiving a stolen firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
