Gonzaga will be the top-overall seed for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. The Bulldogs are unbeaten this season at 26-and-0. Baylor, Illinois, and Michigan have been awarded the other top seeds. The top five seeds in the West are Gonzaga, Iowa, Kansas, Virginia, and Creighton. The top five in the East are Michigan, Alabama, Texas, Florida State, and Colorado. In the Midwest, the top five are Illinois, Houston, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, and Tennessee. The top five in the South are Baylor, Ohio State, Arkansas, Purdue, and Villanova.
The First Four will all be played on Thursday, with Appalachian State against Norfolk State and Texas Southern versus Mount St. Mary’s in a matchup of 16 seeds. The other two games feature 11 seeds Drake against Wichita State and UCLA against Michigan State. NCAA Tournament first-round games will be Friday and Saturday this year, with the second round Sunday and Monday. Due to COVID-19, all games will be played in the Indianapolis area.
