Hopkinsville and Christian County High School will each have an in-person prom next month and the dates will be determined Friday morning.
Prom will be at the Stadium of Champions for each school and there will be a coin toss Friday morning at 8:15 on the Christian County Public School System Facebook page to determine which school will go first April 16 and which will have prom April 23.
A news release says students will enter the stadium at 7 p.m. and the dance will occur from 8 to 10 p.m.
Students will be able to remove their masks during the entrance, which will be streamed live for parents and families. Parents will not be permitted to attend prom entrance activities in order to limit crowd size. Students will be required to wear masks during other prom activities.
There will be no prom ticket cost to students.
Students must be passing all classes to attend prom.
Prom will be postponed to the following Saturday if there’s inclement weather.
