A Flood Watch is in effect for counties to our north and west.
It includes Hopkins and Caldwell counties and is in effect from 3 p.m. today until 6 p.m. Saturday, with the National Weather Service in Paducah saying that area could see up to two inches of rain.
Christian, Todd and Trigg counties should see an inch and a half of rain or less during that time period and are not included in the watch.
Motorists who encounter standing water are reminded—turn around, don’t drown.
