Fire causes heavy damage to vacant home, investigated as arson

Fire caused heavy damage to a vacant Hopkinsville home early Sunday morning and it’s being investigated as arson.

Firefighters were called to 208 Bryan about 12:30 a.m. after multiple residents dialed 911 and reported a fire at that location, according to HFD Public Information Officer Payton Rogers.

Crews arrived to find heavy flames and firefighters from all four stations responded to fight the blaze.

Firefighters believe the home to be vacant.

A Hopkinsville Police Department report says it’s under investigation as arson and that the structure sustained at least $20,000 in damages.
