Major League Baseball is set to honor one of the game’s best with a permanent day on the league’s schedule. The first ever “Lou Gehrig Day” will be held on June 2nd throughout the league. Along with honoring the New York Yankees legend, the league will also look to raise awareness and money to fight ALS, the disease that took Gehrig’s life and is informally known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease.” The day will feature special uniform patches league-wide, along with red wristbands reading “4-ALS.” Gehrig joins Jackie Robinson and Roberto Clemente as the only three players in league history to have a day to celebrate his legacy.

The L.A. County Sheriff is investigating the black box in Tiger Woods’ car crash for reckless driving. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that was the object of the search warrant, although it’s not implicitly stated. They’re piecing together evidence including the lack of skid marks, objects hit by his SUV and the fact that it was a single-vehicle crash. Sources say one crime is excluded in the warrant, and that is Woods was not impaired when the accident happened.
