Elkton woman charged with meth trafficking

An investigation Sunday by Elkton police led to the arrest of a woman on methamphetamine trafficking charges.

Officers were notified of an altercation in progress a little before 2 p.m. at South Streets Avenue and College Street and made contact with 21-year old Kassidy Jones of Elkton, according to Chief Robert Toombs.

A computer check showed that she was sought on a warrant and police say she admitted to having meth and marijuana on her person.

A search at the jail allegedly revealed a large amount of meth.

She was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
