Todd County has pair of drive-thru vaccine clinics this week for those 70 and older

The Todd County Health Department will host a pair of drive-thru COVID vaccination clinics this week.

They will be Tuesday and Wednesday and both will be for Todd County residents 70 and older on a first come, first serve basis.

Public Health Director Jen Harris says registration begins in the old Ardco parking lot next to Dairy Queen at noon on both days.

She says don’t drive away if the lot looks full of vehicles when you arrive, pull in and check to see if spots are still available.

Beginning at 1, vehicles will be sent a few at a time to the Todd County Health Department, where staff will administer the first-dose vaccines.

If all goes as hoped, Harris says Todd County could begin Phase 1C next month with an emphasis on people 60 and older with underlying health conditions.
