Hopkinsville man arrested on wanton endangerment charge

Hopkinsville police arrested a man Sunday night who is accused of using his vehicle to intentionally hit a moped operated by a juvenile.

An arrest citation for 41-year old Jamie Manson of Hopkinsville alleges he struck the moped on Central Avenue, causing very minor injuries to a 12-year old boy. He then allegedly picked up the boy and slammed him to the ground, saying “This is for throwing footballs at my house.”

Manson then went back to his home, where police found him and the report says his vehicle had blue paint on the front consistent with the color of the moped.

Manson was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
