The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council is launching a ‘Get Ready 2 Win’ initiative to hopefully really help get production and economic development really running in the area.
Executive Director Carter Hendricks says many of these goals and efforts have already been underway, calling this program a recommitment to their mission, as they look to apply for grants and other actions to help move things along in the communities they support.
He says as always, the EDC is focused on infrastructure, workforce, quality of life and product development, depending on communities to create the product that they can then ‘sell’ to interested parties and have them choose the area for business.
Hendricks says while they can’t reveal too much about any discussions currently underway about possible development, they are staying active with tours and requests for information from interested industries.
Due to vaccinations becoming more readily available and declining COVID-19 numbers locally, it is likely that the next meeting of the EDC will take place in-person.
