Kentucky State Police believe they have located the semi involved in a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian accident from early this month on interstate 69 in Hopkins County.
As previously reported, the body of 29-year old Michael “Andrew” Dowd was found February 7 off the southbound lanes of travel of Interstate 69 near the 103 mile-marker in Hopkins County.
In an update Thursday, KSP said they were seeking the help of the public in attempting to identify the driver or company of a white 2018-2022 Freightliner Cascadia. Evidence recovered from the scene indicates this vehicle is suspected to have struck Dowd between February 4 and 7, causing damage to the front passenger headlight assembly and hood.
On Friday night, state police said they had received several tips and were able to locate the vehicle, with the investigation continuing.
