Updated: Todd County Health Department likely to hold vaccine clinics next week, could move to 1C in March

The Todd County Health Department anticipates having two COVID vaccine clinics for individuals 70 and older next week and hopes to move to Phase 1C as soon as next month.

Public Health Director Jen Harris expects to have drive-thru clinics Tuesday and Wednesday of next week in the old Ardco building parking lot next to Dairy Queen on West Main Street and it will be on a first come, first serve basis and details will be announced closer to time.

Those clinics will be for any Todd County resident who is 70 or older.

The clinics will likely move to the tech center on the campus of Todd County Central High School in the event of bad weather.

If all goes as planned, Harris expects Todd County to begin vaccinating individuals 60 and older—especially those with underlying health conditions—as soon as next month.

The Todd County Health Department has vaccinated 550 individuals since the process began

There were only two new cases reported Friday in Todd County–both adults–and one of the patients has already finished their quarantine period with resolved symptoms.
