Murray State splits twinbill with Eastern Illinois

Murray State had a cold shooting night in a 69-58 loss to Eastern Illinois last night, having their last lead at 5-4 early in the game. Chico Carter, Jr., had a game-high 21 points and KJ Williams reached the career 1,000 points mark with 15 points and eight rebounds. Tevin Brown added 11 points to the Racer attack. Murray State is now 12-10/9-8 in the OVC and host SIU Edwardsville tomorrow night.

In the women’s game, Murray State used a 17-5 third quarter run to down Eastern Illinois 69-53. The Racers are now 12-10 on the season and welcome SIUE at 4:30 tomorrow afternoon.
