Motorists will find heavily traveled highways and city streets mostly clear of snow and ice on their Friday morning commute, but caution should still be used on side streets and secondary routes.
That’s according to Chrsitian County Sheriff’s Sgt. Adam Vanderkolk, who has worked almost every overnight shift since this pattern of wintry weather began, and who says conditions are much improved, but still use caution.
Road conditions were similar in adjoining counties, with dispatchers in Todd and Trigg County reporting no weather-related accidents overnight.
Christian, Trigg, Hopkins and Montgomery County Schools are closed to in person instruction again Friday, in addition to Heritage Christian Academy, UHA, Dawson Springs Independent Schools and Hopkinsville and Madisonville Community Colleges.
