Man killed in weather-related accident in Hopkins County

Winter weather was a factor in a fatal single-vehicle accident Tuesday night on Interstate 69 in Hopkins County.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office investigated and determined 44-year old Steve Kinder was northbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the iced over pavement and went off the right side of the road.

His vehicle struck a rock wall and overturned and Kinder was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger, 35-year old Bobbie Ayers, was not injured.
