Front Office Sports reports Phil Mickelson is wanting to make a transition from playing golf to being in a broadcast booth. Mickelson’s agent says he would like to make the transition in the next 12-24 months. Mickelson made a cameo appearance during coverage of the 2020 PGA Championship on CBS to somewhat favorable reviews.
The United States Golf Association has named former LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan as its new executive director and CEO today. Whan replaces Mike Davis after spending 11 years as LPGA commissioner. He will oversee 14 championships conducted by the USGA, as well as the Walker Cup and Curtis Cup.
