Kentucky legislators are getting a second unexpected break in the session.
The House and Senate were scheduled to reconvene Tuesday after taking President’s Day off but leaders from both chambers called off the remainder of the legislative work week, citing the icy conditions across the state and the significant number of power outages in eastern Kentucky.
The legislature will be back at the Capitol on Monday and will have 15 working days to reconcile differences between the House and Senate budget bills.
The final day of the session will remain March 30.
