The Christian County Health Department reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.
According to a news release, those 12 new cases bumps the overall total locally over 6,000 to 6,005 since the pandemic began. Of that, 259 cases are considered active and 5,668 people have recovered from the virus.
Christian County has had 78 COVID-19 related deaths.
