Hopkinsville police arrested a Paducah man for drug trafficking charges Saturday night.
Sgt. Rico Rodriguez attempted to stop 30-year old Trevion Clary of Paducah for speeding and several other traffic violations and an arrest citation says Clary made multiple turns and accelerated out of control at a high rate of speed before finally stopping on Broad Street.
An odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle and an odor of alcohol was coming from Clary’s breath, according to police.
A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed 240 grams of methamphetamine, $9,000 cash and marijuana.
Clary was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, trafficking in marijuana, his second DUI, reckless driving and use of restricted ammunition during commission of a felony.
