The winter storm has postponed tomorrow’s work, but state legislators will be back in Frankfort Wednesday and there’s still no solid budget proposal from the conference committee.
State Senator Whitney Westerfield says he’s been assured at least some details will be coming soon, though he is disappointed the process is taking this long.
Representative Walker Thomas is also hoping the budget don’t go down to the final minutes before the veto recess.
Meanwhile, Representative Myron Dossett is sponsoring legislation that would make races for judge, court of appeals and Supreme Court justice partisan on Kentucky, saying he believes voters deserve to know where those candidates stand.
The final day to file bills in the Senate and House was also pushed back until Thursday due to the weather.
