Kentucky COVID numbers fall for fifth straight week

Kentucky has over a month in the book for declining daily new cases of COVID-19.

He asked Kentuckians to maintain those well-documented guidelines that are necessary to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

The governor also announced 10 more COVID deaths Sunday. Christian, Todd and Muhlenberg counties remained the Pennyrile region’s orange counties, while the other six are red on the state incidence rate map.

The Tennessee Department of Health reported 1,347 new cases and 31 more deaths. Hospitalizations were down by 45 to 1,109 and the Volunteer State’s positivity rate was 7.4 percent.
