Murray State played the first of two doubleheaders in two days Friday and swept Southeast Missouri in both games. Coach Matt McMahon moved into third place for career wins in Murray State men’s basketball history as the Racers scored an 80-60 victory over SEMO. McMahon’s 120th win saw Chico Carter, Jr. lead the Racers with 22 points as Murray State improved to 10-9 overall and 7-7 in the OVC.
In the women’s game, Murray State won its third straight edging SEMO 81-79. The Racers improved to 11-9 overall and 8-7 in the OVC. Murray State welcomes UT Martin Saturday for a men’s/women’s twin bill with the women’s game at 4:30 and the men’s game at 7:30 in the CFSB Center.
