Belmont is the pick of the league’s coaches to win the Ohio Valley Conference this season. Murray State was picked third and Austin Peay fourth.
Both the Governors and Racers had players on the All OVC Preseason team. First baseman John McDonald and outfielder Garrett Spain represent Austin Peay while Murray State was represented by second baseman Jordan Cozart, outfielder Brock Anderson and starting pitcher Shane Burns, a Caldwell County grad and former member of the Hoptown Hoppers.
